Nyah Buelvas was born from the desire to restore strength, value, and dignity to handcrafted art. Its ethical fashion proposal celebrates crochet as its signature technique, elevating it into a sophisticated and conceptual universe. Each handwoven piece is unique, a bearer of history, time, and authorship.

Bring power back to the artisan: celebrates the authentic, the human, and the beauty of the imperfectly handmade, from Colombia to the world.

Concept
We started with a clear vision: to project the brand toward internationalization without losing the warmth and authenticity of Colombian craftsmanship. We reinterpreted elements of the avant basic style—its textures, shapes, and patterns—giving them a more luxurious, elegant, and contemporary twist without sacrificing their essence.
Project challenges
The challenge was to craft a brand identity that honored the tradition of crochet while expressing a high-fashion, editorial, and ethical aesthetic. The brand needed to communicate exclusivity, sustainability and artistic expression — with a modern, bold, and sophisticated tone.
Besides, we needed a logo with storytelling, a powerful first sight statement; 4 symbols looked perfect for this: the hand, the leaf, the star, and the stitch; by reimagining and combining them in an unexpected way, we were able to create something truly original, transcending the conventional forms and predictable uses typically seen in the category.
We designed a visual universe that elevates handmade textiles to a high-fashion aesthetic, blending textile artistry with avant-basic influences.
